Four days "dry" now and I must admit I feel such clarity, it was nice waking this morning without feeling muzzy and hung over. All that met my lips last night was tea and coffee at Mr D & Mr C's. I have had no ill effects from my new regime, I was a bit cranky yesterday and parked in the "mother and baby" space at Tesco during my lunch break. I was raging at the time, here I am, no chance of paid maternity leave, no child benefit to piss up the wall, no chance of a state pension when or if I reach retirement age and to add insult to injury I am expected to walk further to buy life's essentials. It beggars belief, it's all give, give, give. The chinese are given fridge freezers for keeping the population down, here I am environmentally aware and I don't even get a book token.
It's time to stand up and be counted, if these super hero women can juggle children and park an Espace I am sure they are capable of walking an extra yard or two to a shop. Back to the chinese, they squat in a rice field, have a baby and carry on, they could teach us a thing or two.
